Interest Tracks

Our interest tracks will focus on areas that individual campers have an interest. Campers will select one interest group when they register for camp and then spend part of each day focused on that activity. Activities will vary by camp.

Worship/Drama

While there are many ways to worship and praise our God, one of the most common ways is through music and performing arts. This interest Track will focus on those two things. Bring your instrument, or voice, or performing talent to camp, and spend the week jamming out with friends with similar interests. Campers will be split into two areas (worship or drama) and spend the week preparing a worship set or drama(s) for the closing worship service at the end of the week.

Leadership/Service

If you love to worship by serving others, this is the Interest Track for you! We will spend the week engaging in leadership development classes, as well as participating in service opportunities (on and off the campgrounds). Some of the service opportunities may include, clearing trash and helping to beautify parks in the local community, completing a painting project on the campground, or serving at a local community outreach (such as a foodbank or Boys and Girls Club).

Sports/Games

This interest Track is exactly what it sounds like. Each day, the Sports/Games interest Track will focus on a new game that we don’t always play at camp. Like Floor Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, or Football. So, bring your glove, mitt, ball, and ideas about what sport you think we should play for the week!

Adventure

Do you love being outdoors? Hiking, cooking over the fire, canoeing/kayaking, biking, etc.? Maybe this is the interest track for you! Each day we will spend our time engaging in an outdoor activity. Campfire Iron Chef, Hiking to a local park, checking out some of the local waterfalls, and doing some orienteering and geocaching. This track is perfect for the adventurous spirit!

Tactile Arts

Another way we can worship God is through the gifts and talents He has given us. Whitehall Camp is blessed with many creative and artistic campers. This interest track is designed to focus on those gifts. If you have a heart for art, join us during the week in this interest track, and use your artistic talents to create. Camp will supply some supplies for your creative outlet, or you can bring your own stuff if there’s a project you prefer to work on!
