Missions Project

Missions Project

Each year we do a Missions Project here at Whitehall where we come together as a body of Christ through our summer youth camps, camp meeting, and greater community to provide missions support towards a particular cause.  It is our hope through this mission that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus and show the love of Christ.

2017 Mission: Tela Church in Honduras

For this year’s Missions Project we will be partnering with the Church of God in Honduras and their new church plant in the town of Tela! The church in Honduras is made up of 9 congregations and a school that serves 350 children through grade 8. The church in Tela currently meets at the home of their pastor, Estabon Zapata. It is our goal this year through the offerings received at our Youth Camps and the special offerings received on Thursday evening during Camp Meeting, to partner with the church in Tela to purchase property and begin the construction of the Church facility. We are so excited for this opportunity and hope that you will join us and prayerfully consider how God would have you respond to this missions endeavor.

Previous Missions Projects:

2016: “Children of Promise” – In 2016 we raised funds to help with the sponsorship program of Children of Promise, the sponsorship program specifically run through the national Church of God.

2015:  “Donate Your Souls” – In 2015 we collected new and gently used shoes to be sent oversee’s to Third World Countries to allow them the opportunity of starting their own businesses.

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” – Matthew 25: 37-40
